Reed’s entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic people skills have combined to make him a driving force behind the explosive growth of multiple companies.  Reed brings wide-ranging experience and a successful track record in Enterprise Sales, Executive Sales & Marketing Management, Customer Support Management and International Management. 

Reed started his career in computer hardware and software sales at Hewlett Packard during the 80’s.  During his notable tenure, Reed was a frequent presenter and trainer in the Neely Sales Regions sales training program and earned the Most Valuable Player Award, HP’s highest award given to a salesperson. 

His background includes founding and successfully building two technology (Internet) companies, including Youth Sports Network (YSN). As Founder, President, and CEO of YSN, Reed negotiated exclusive long-term Technology Marketing agreements with the largest youth and amateur sports organizations in the world.  Reed drove membership in YSN to 15 million children worldwide.  In 1999, Reed sold YSN to myteam.com. The company is currently known as Active.com – or the Active Network.  

In 1987 Reed joined startup Trace Incorporated.  Through several Executive positions, including Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, and International Operations, Reed grew market share to 75%, making Trace the undisputed leader in Software Manufacturing Systems.  Reed’s track record at Trace includes driving sales revenue to nearly $100,000,000.00 million annually.   

Reed is on the Board of Regents at Saint Mary’s College, in Moraga California.  Reed and his wife Lianne, a Peninsula Artist, are the parents of seven children, and in their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their family, and helping their busy clan in a variety of endeavors.

Jeff Reber

Jeff's diverse and wide-ranging skills, knowledge, and experience in design and development have made him an invaluable creative and technical resource.  Over the last decade, Jeff built a successful track record in website design and rich media for multiple industries, putting him in position to lead the development of online sales & marketing solutions for the golf industry.

Jeff graduated magna cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a major in Art & Design.  He jump-started his career by creating his own design firm in 1998.  The success of JR Design introduced him to many clients, including Reed Thompson, the founder of Youth Sports Network (YSN).  Reed hired Jeff to lead the creation of this online community for youth sports nationwide.  This led to a string of cooperative successes that continues today.  MyTeam.com acquired YSN and became the Active Network.  Jeff and Reed then collaborated to start the web marketing company Elevation, Inc.

After several years of providing rich media for a diverse cross-section of industries, Elevation started work with hookedongolf.com, an online portal for golfers.   The company then made the strategic decision to focus exclusively on the golf industry, offering online sales & marketing for golf courses.  This was the genesis of TapIn.

A highly talented artist, Jeff honed his web development skills to complement his design, illustration, and animation abilities.   During this time, Jeff designed and created a content management system using PHP, MySQL and Javascript.   Jeff is highly proficient with the latest web software. His ability to work in separate disciplines enables him to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire TapIn product line, and to interact with team members at every level.

An avid golfer and a skilled professional photographer, Jeff built an extensive golf course portfolio over the years.  Notable golf clients include Poppy Hills Golf Course, Cinnabar Hills, and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Jeff and his wife Jeffie, a labor & delivery nurse, are the parents of two young children.
